In February 2011, to promote the civil society consultations taking place nationwide, and to encourage the public to get involved in the UPR process, the 'Your Rights. Right Now' campaign launched an awareness-raising ad campaign.
The radio and online ads featured testimony from a range of Irish people, all with their own human rights-related story to tell: Bridgie Casey, who was turned away from a restaurant due to her Traveller identity; Gerard Gallagher, disability activist; Jessica Hamilton, a mother seeking non-religous education for her child; and Hazel Larkin, speaking out for those in Ireland facing mental health problems.
