The deadline for submission of Stakeholder Reports to the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) under Ireland's Second UPR Review is 21 September 2015.

The Second UPR Examination will focus mainly on the effective implementation of UPR Recommendations (from the first cycle). There is also the possibility to raise new issues of concern.

The Irish Council for Civil Liberties is leading the civil society response on the UPR together with a coalition of civil society organisations called Your Rights. Right Now.

To help us prepare our report, we want to hear from you! We recently held a series of consultations around Ireland. This was an opportunity for members of the public to have their voices heard and to provide us with information about human rights issues on the ground in Ireland.

We are also inviting written submissions. This is an opportunity for you to share your experiences of human rights in Ireland. All written submissions should be returned to rightsnow@iccl.ie by Friday 14 August. You can also make a submission by filling in our online form.
